Port Harcourt is the State capital and largest city in River State of Nigeria and located in the Niger Delta along the Bonny River. Crude oil was found in commercial quantities at Oloibiri in 1956 which turn Port Harcourt's economy to petroleum industry when the first shipment of Nigerian crude oil was exported through the city in 1958. It is a commercial and industrial center where pressed concrete, aluminum and steel products, glass, tires, footwear, paint, cigarettes, and furniture are manufactured and bicycles and motor vehicles are also assembled. The chief exports of Port Harcourt are cacao, palm oil and kernels, coal, peanuts and tin.
